Dental crowns and bridges are fixed prosthetic devices which are used to replace and restore a damaged or missing tooth. Unlike dentures and other removable devices, these are cemented onto your existing teeth and cannot be removed without the aid of a dentist.
Crowns encase the entire tooth surface structures. It fits over the top of the affected tooth in order to strengthen or protect it from further damage. Bridges, on the other hand, are the ones which will fill in the gaps of the missing tooth and are fixed in place.
