Why Choose Richland Dental for Sedation Dentistry?

  • Gentle Treatment from Two Caring Dentists
  • We See All Ages, From Children to Adults
  • From Simple to Complex, We Treat It All

Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous oxide sedation is excellent for our patients who deal with minor to moderate dental anxiety or fear. Its effects are fast-acting and it’s administered in-office. Our team will place a small mask over your nose that will allow you to breathe in a colorless, odorless gas. Once your cleaning or procedure is complete, our team will remove the mask and the effects will quickly disappear, allowing you to carry on with the rest of your day as you normally would.

Oral Conscious Sedation

Oral conscious sedation is slightly more potent than nitrous oxide and is administered in the form of a single pill that our team will prescribe you before your appointment. During your visit, the effects of the medication will help you feel relaxed and at-ease while you’re in the treatment chair. This method of sedation is excellent for adults who require lengthier procedures or that have moderate dental fear or anxiety.

IV Sedation

Our patients that require surgical procedures like dental implant placement or who have severe dental phobia may require IV sedation, which is our strongest method of sedation. In most cases, patients don’t remember any part of their procedures, and due to the lasting effects, will need to clear their schedule for the remainder of the day.

General Anesthesiology

Dr. Mansi and Dr. T have trained experts come to the office to offer general anesthesia for patients who require extensive dental treatment. This isn’t the type of general anesthesia you receive in a hospital operating room—you’ll be able to breathe on your own and control your bodily functions throughout, but you won’t remain conscious during your treatment.
